Bike Measurements 2017

On Thursday last week, we had bike to school day. In the morning, almost everyone in the school brought their bikes so they could bike to the school from a nearby road. Later in the day, we measured things with our bikes. We got into groups of three, and then we started the activity. We used chalk, a pencil, a piece of paper, and a bike of course. Here's an example of how we measured with our bikes: We would measure one complete rotation of a bike wheel, we would measure how much complete rotations it would take to get to a certain object, etc. Sixteen people bought their bikes to the school including our teacher Mrs Nelson. It was such a fun activity! I loved the idea.
